In Today’s World, Every Person Can Make a Difference . . .
On Tuesday October 24th, the 12th Annual Remembrance Dinner was attended by over 300 community members to honor Ken Boutwell with the Humanitarian Award. A Zing! in the Tallahassee Democrat summed it up, “Thanks for publishing the article about Ken Boutwell. What a wonderful man and difference-maker. We should all strive to be like Ken!” In today’s world, every person can make a difference. Don’t wait to be a changemaker! The photos from the evening show how a community can stand up to hate. We are so grateful to all the sponsors that supported the event.
So many programs have been held that reach the teachers and community. On Sunday October 22nd, a panel of Children of Auschwitz Survivors reflected four different stories about growing up in the shadow of trauma of evil. How can someone explain living through the unimaginable? Living through the experience to talk about it is a miracle of luck and courage. Help keep their stories alive with more to learn for the future.
