After returning from the second trip with Leon County School Administrators, many hearts and minds were changed. The education experience was an eye opener for everyone, in many ways. On June 2nd-4th, the group left for Washington, DC to visit the National Museum of African American History and Culture and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. We had the fortunate experience to join the group from the Palm Beach School District and Naples Holocaust Museum. This journey was so successful that next year is almost filled to attend the premier sites for a deep dive into the education and history stories. One of the take away messages was from a Holocaust survivor: stand up together with strength in numbers.
