HERC is excited to be gearing up for the in-person kick off of our Micro-Credential in Holocaust Education & Pedagogy on October 13, 2022. Over the course of several months, the participants will gain a robust knowledge on Holocaust education. Some of the topics covered include: the diversity of the Jewish experience, the rise of Nazism, the roles & responsibilities of individuals and institutions during the Holocaust, the complex factors of emigration from Nazi controlled areas, the Wannsee Conference, The Final Solution, and the aftermath of WWII. Educators will explore these topics through a variety of methods including: virtual discussion, journaling, analyzing eyewitness testimony, and by developing their own classroom ready materials. We look forward to seeing the growth and deep knowledge that will be gained by these teachers and how they will use it to impact their students and fellow educators.
