On behalf of the Holocaust Education Resource Council (HERC), I am honored to invite you to join us for our 14th Annual Remembrance Dinner on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the FSU Dunlap Champions Club.
HERC is the only organization of its kind in North Florida dedicated to fulfilling the Florida Department of Education’s mandate for Holocaust education. Every day, we support teachers, students, and our community with age-appropriate lesson plans, primary source materials, survivor testimonies, and professional development to ensure the history and lessons of the Holocaust remain personal, accurate, and relevant.
An Evening of Impact and Inspiration
This year’s Remembrance Dinner will feature distinguished guest speaker Dara Horn, award-winning author of People Love Dead Jews, a New York Times Notable Book. Her work has received numerous accolades, including Booklist’s 25 Best Books of the Decade.
In addition, we will present the 2025 Steve Uhlfelder Humanitarian Award to Bill Graham and Shelley Hill in recognition of their unwavering support for Holocaust education across the Tallahassee region and beyond.
The evening will begin at 5:00 PM with an exclusive VIP reception with Dara Horn for our donors and sponsors at the $2,500 level and above. All attendees will then enjoy an evening of powerful conversation, a delicious dinner, and a program that educates, inspires, and moves hearts.
