A gift will help ensure that HERC has the resources to permanently secure our mission and that the impact of our work continues. As we move further away from the time of the history, being the local leaders of Holocaust education means providing timeless lessons about the dangers of hate and indifference. Your donation is essential to secure HERC’s future.
An acclaimed film was screened for Black History Month to a packed audience that recognized the alliance during the Civil Rights Movement with the Jewish and Black communities, the movie, “Shared Legacies”, planned with partnership by the Charlie and Tonja Ward Foundation and hosted at the Challenger Learning Center, featured panel speakers that highlighted the need to continue dialogue in our community. If you missed this event, look for future plans to attend. According to Steve Evans, who came that night, “it was an excellent film and demonstrated that the partnership should continue. Everyone should see it”.
Don’t forget to view the next part on March 4th of Shoah for the 40th Anniversary it was released. It will be shown in parts due to the length and cannot be compared to any other film about the Holocaust. It stands alone as telling the stories from witnesses to history.
