The Holocaust Education Resource Council (HERC) is very excited to introduce you to one of the most important components for the organization’s future sustainability: our Endowment Fund.  This Endowment was created to be a vehicle to not only support HERC’s mission now, but also to ensure its continuity for years to come.

What is an Endowment Fund?

An endowment fund is a fund established as a simple and effective way to create a permanent source of capital to provide future financial support for our organization.  HERC has partnered with the Community Foundation of North Florida (CFNF) to manage its Endowment Fund, ensuring that every gift is thoughtfully invested and professionally managed for long-term growth. Through a diversified and monitored portfolio, your generosity continues working today and for generations to come.

Why donate to HERC’s Endowment Fund?

As a donor, your support is not only appreciated but vital to HERC’s immediate and long-term success.  As the Endowment grows each year, a portion of the Endowment Fund will be distributed back to HERC for ongoing educational events and projects while the principal balance remains untouched to grow over time.

Below are some instructions for how to get involved and a QR code for digital contributions.

• A check made payable to HERC and mailed to PO Box 16282 Tallahassee, FL 32317. For accounting purposes, please note in the memo line “in honor of Monte Finklestein”. HERC will in turn remit those funds to the Community Foundation of North Florida.
• A check made payable to the Community Foundation North Florida and mailed to 3600 Maclay Blvd. S, Suite 200, Tallahassee, FL 32312. Please note in the memo line “HERC – in honor of Monte Finkelstein”.
• Or your contribution can be received through the below QR code from the Community Foundation of North Florida. When you click on the QR code it will take you to the CFNF website – “Give to a Fund” page. After you click on GIVE TODAY you will then be directed to the fund information where you will need to select “CFNF Agency Fund (Nonprofit Organizations).”  Scroll down to “Agency Fund Receiving Gift,” click in the box and choose the Holocaust Education Resource Council.  Fill out the field for your gift amount and please be sure, in the “Comments” to add “in Honor of Monte Finkelstein.”  Lastly, please enter all your contact information and click “Submit & Pay.”
