So far, the year has started with many school visits. Students in each class left after asking many good questions. Their main interest was “Why didn’t the Jews resist” and “Why didn’t they just leave”. This took them into a deep dive about surviving discrimination and persecution.  Learning about choiceless choices showed the limits and quotas people dealt with. These are the days when the teachers are so grateful that HERC provides the support needed.

Two compelling authors have spoken to the community that featured new books. Many thanks to the Midtown Reader partnership. They have been a strong supporter for many years that reaches the whole community.

Come visit HERC at the History Festival located at Tallahassee State College on April 11th from 10am -2pm. It will be an opportunity to learn about many programs and receive free books.
