Barbara Goldstein HERC Executive Director

Barbara was born in New York City to parents who personally experienced and survived the Holocaust. She moved to Florida in 1986 and has lived in Tallahassee for more than 30 years with her husband and two children.

Susan Turner Vice Chair

Susan was born and raised in Jasper, Florida, about 80 miles east of Tallahassee, and grew up attending Valdosta Hebrew Congregation in Valdosta, Georgia.

Steve has maintained a presence in Holocaust education for many years. A former math teacher, Steve invited his father, a Holocaust survivor, to speak to students on several occasions.

Jared has more than 18 years of experience as a lobbyist and an association executive. Today, he serves as president of the Florida Beer Wholesalers Association (FBWA).

Karen Asher Cohen At-Large Board Member

Karen is a founding shareholder of the Radey Law Firm, where she represents insurers before the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation. Formerly, she served as director of insurer services and deputy commissioner at the Department of Insurance.

Since 1998, Lynn Grossman has been the Holocaust Claims Coordinator for the Holocaust Victims Assistance Program for the State of Florida.

Angie Pichard At-Large Board Member

Angie was born in St. Petersburg but has called Tallahassee home since 1994. She attended Leon High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Criminology from Florida State University. ​

Ellie Simon has been immensely involved in the Tallahassee Jewish community. She has been President of Congregation Shomrei Torah and President of the Tallahassee Jewish Federation.

Judy Anderson Winn grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. After graduating from Shades Valley High School in 1964, Judy attended the Mississippi University for Women, obtaining her bachelor’s in elementary education in 1968.

Rick was born in Brooklyn, New York and has called Tallahassee Florida his home since 1977. Prior to his retirement, Rick had 40 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant, specializing in government and not-for-profit accounting and financial reporting.
