As another summer comes to an end, we’re looking with anticipation for our 2023 Annual Remembrance Dinner and other important programs to give inspiration. It’s just a month away, so please, make your reservations today. We will offer a captivating speaker Dr. Monte Finkelstein for understanding the history of banned books during the Holocaust on October 2nd. The HERC Annual Remembrance Dinner is a very important event in our yearly calendar. It’s a recognition of our community support, a time to reaffirm our work and values, a chance to hear from inspirational leaders, and an opportunity to acknowledge past accomplishments and look ahead with anticipation. This October 24th will follow the tradition with guest speakers who are making dramatic differences in our community, as well as educators working hard to build a better future for all of us. We encourage you to join us. I also urge you to sponsor a seat for those who couldn’t otherwise attend, particularly teachers. Thanks to our community’s generosity, people were able to attend last year free of charge; that’s seats covered by generous donors.
