As a summer community-engagement project, 15 area students arrived at HERC on a hot July morning to put in a week of life-changing service and learning about the Holocaust. Topped off by a visit to Florida’s Holocaust Museum in St. Petersburg, the students spent the week working together to paint a new panel to welcome visitors to HERC’s office at Tallahassee Community Office and learning from a Holocaust survivor.
