On October 6th, the film U.S. and the Holocaust, was screened to a sold-out theater. Thanks to the partnership with the Challenger Learning Center and WFSU, for a special condensed version of the new Ken Burns documentary about the U.S. response to the Nazi atrocities of WWII. The audience then engaged in a Q&A with historian Monte Finklestein and Filmmaker Paul Cohen. It was an incredibly powerful and mining evening, with important lessons for society today.

Antisemitism is rising and Holocaust distortion is growing in ways not seen before. The need to teach lessons of history and show connections to the past are done with resources such as this film. Teachers are requesting more books and students are asking when they will learn about the Holocaust.
