Starting the New Year with Education

Jan 12, 2026

As we begin 2026, education is more important than ever.

The rise of antisemitism is deeply alarming and disturbingly familiar to Holocaust survivors.

Each month, a recognition will be acknowledging a survivor. Honor them with a donation to remember their special story.

Rosette Goldstein (86) was born in Paris, France. Before deportation, her father asked a farm family in the small town if they would hide her. “I was three and half years old, but I remember everything. I remember the loneliness and how frightened I was. I have devoted much of my time to Holocaust education in honor of my father, who died in Buchenwald, five days before liberation.”

The year starts with authors and films planned along with International Holocaust Remembrance Day on January 27th.  This will mark the 81st Anniversary of Auschwitz Liberation. Each year, more survivors are passing as witnesses of history. It is our obligation to continue teaching the next generation.

The HERC Board is pleased to welcome new members Krista Campbell and Abbey Stewart. They will add to supporting the mission and assist with progress.

Looking ahead, teachers need more books and requesting to take students to visit the Holocaust museum. We need your help to achieve the goals.

Donate today any amount. Consider a monthly contribution.
