This Year’s HERC Training was an Amazing Experience
“This year’s HERC training was an amazing experience with so many different strategies that were taught and the collaboration in the professional learning environment that spanned different subject areas, great levels as well as years of experience truly lent new perspectives on how to teach more intentionally” – Eleasha Milicevic, 11th Grade S.S. Teacher & Social Studies Department Head at Amos P. Godby High
On Monday October 23rd, in partnership with Echoes and Reflections, we hosted our annual Leon County Teachers workshop. 38 teachers attended the full-day workshop where they were presented with a myriad of resources and materials that they can use in their classrooms to meet the state mandate. We shared updates with the teachers including the roll-out of our new Teaching Trunk Pprogram and information on our upcoming Mini-Microcredential Programs. Teachers also were treated to a captivating presentation by Dr. Alex Kor, who shared the story of his parents Eva Kor and Michael “Mickey” Kor. Workshops like this one are essential to our mission, and they wouldn’t be possible without your support! Please donate today.
